Progress in After Effects: Chirper chat function

Today I went from this

to this:


 It looks much more like a proper chat now, is the line a little too fast maybe? Getting timing right in AE is near impossible because the playback is always delayed or crashes :p


Edit: the line blinks before the typing starts!

 This is the Fade in Effect in After Effects which is an option for our Animation.





And this is the typewriter effect, which one is better? Sorry for the slight delay, I've recorded After Effects play back which is always a little slow...

 What kind of changes to the layout would you like? (better background picture, yes) maybe super mario & pokemon images instead of the gaming icon? And same for the books? I took half forgotten titles because all my books are buried under the bed, I don't think Shadowrunner was ever translated into English?

New Chirper Design

This is my new Chirper design, I've looked at templates other social media sites use and tried to put their influence into my design.

This is what the phone design looks like at the moment, it's a rough lay out and still needs work as the eye doesn't see what it should focus on first. I will also work on the textbox popup and the follow button and the mechanics behind it.

My last logo for tonight, it's one cube per person in our group I suppose? You might say I got carried away :p I'm very good at making gifs in Photoshop now, bonus!
